COMMUNION PREPARATION FOR 2013

There is a new sign up sheet on the back bulletin board for the year 2013 for all those who are willing to be responsible for preparing communion.  We still need volunteers for the month of July.  Reserve your spot today!

SAVE THESE DATES

Sunday, January 6th- Friend’s Day with Willie Franklin at Bernie Church of Christ. See flyer in back for more details.

Saturday, January 26th is set for a ladies’ prayer breakfast.  More information will follow in future bulletins.

Saturday, February 16th at 2:00 is the time set for a wedding shower for Amber Blattel and Jacob Azinger, in the fellowship room.  Amber and Jacob are registered at Target and JCPenney’s.

NOTE:  If you signed up to attend the wedding, but do NOT intend to be at the reception, please place an “X” by your name on the sign-up sheet.  The Blattels need to get a final head count to know how much food is needed.  Thank you.

SINGING

Please be sure to attend services this evening and help to praise the Lord in song.  Also, we ask that you leave the back 5-7 rows empty and sit close to the front tonight.  That is so encouraging to our song leaders and it sounds so much nicer when we are gathered in a tight group.

RECYCLE YOUR CHRISTMAS CARDS

Linda Tansil would like you to donate your Christmas cards to her for use in next year’s decorations for the holiday.  Also, Linda has already volunteered to host the holiday party on December 7, 2013.  You can mark your calendars now!  J

NURSING HOME SINGING

Arrangements have been made for our members to uplift the Lutheran Home residents with songs each 3rd Sunday of the month in 2013.  Please save those dates and help us sing.  The residents really appreciate it.  For many it is one of the few bright moments in their day.

NEW YEAR’S EVE GATHERING

The Tanners invite any and all to play games (board games, pool, ping pong, cards, etc) at their home beginning at 8 p.m. on Monday, December 31st.  Bring your favorite snack & drink and come fellowship with one another.

THANK YOU

“Dear Church Family, Sam and I would like to thank all of you for your prayers, cards, flowers, and offers of foot through this sad time.  We are so blessed to have such a loving and caring church family.  In Christian Love, Sam and Jan”

REMINDERS

DISASTER RELIEF EFFORT - give your contribution to one of the elders or put it in the collection plate with “storm relief” in the memo field of your check.

FOOTIES – Only one more week to collect footies, socks and knee-hi’s for the community nursing homes. If you have any questions, see Calvin or Maria Box.

Cape to Cape Mission Trip is only months away!  Please dig deep and try to find some extra cash to donate each week.  Be sure to mark your donations for the mission fund.

SPECIAL REQUESTS:

Jerry White is home from the hospital after dialysis.  Let’s be sure to remember him in prayer.

Jack Lutrell¸ Sam & Jan’s son-in-law, suffered a mild heart attack last week.  He is able to be out and about, but please continue to pray for him.

Many are traveling for Christmas and New Year’s.  Please remember them all in your prayers.

Prayers have been answered for Peggy Keith, Mark McAllister’s cousin, who shows no sign of any more cancer.  Thanks to all who lifted her name to God.
